Derogation Identification and Management Guidance (SHTN 00-06) - Draft for Consultation

Guidance in this Scottish Health Technical Note (SHTN) defines and details the process that should be followed where the requirements specified in NHS Scotland Architectural, Building and/or Engineering guidance are not fully applied to the design, construction, maintenance and operational management of healthcare facilities.

The aim of this publication is to provide guidance relating to the identification and management of derogations from guidance for construction projects in healthcare facilities.

All consultation comments are to be returned by end of working day on 12 December 2025 using the Consultation Comments Form.
