Request - Under the freedom of information (Scotland) Act 2002 please email me the following information:

NOTE:

On the 31st March, 2022, redacted (Commodity Manager, NSS National Procurement) sent an email to redacted at Vanilla Blush, as below, which included the following:

"The submissions are now the 3rd time these have been presented, the codes on the applications relate to products that the Scottish Stoma Clinical Nurse Specialist Group identified and removed from the Stoma Supplies listing, having assessed them as Level 1 garments. The process removed Vanilla Blush products categorised as Briefs, Girdles, Vests, Boxers & Pants."

Response

(1) What date was National Procurement notified by the Scottish Stoma Clinical Nurse Specialist Group (SSCNSG) that they had "identified and removed from the Stoma Supplies listing" Vanilla Blush products categorised as "Briefs, girdles, Vests, Boxers & Pants"?

(2) What communication method was used by the Scottish Stoma Clinical Nurse Specialist Group (e.g. email, telephone, letter, etc.) to inform National Procurement of the above (1)?

(3) What was the official position of the Public Service employee representing the Scottish Stoma Clinical Nurse Specialist Group (e.g. the Chair) who contacted National Procurement to inform them that Vanilla Blush products categorised as "Briefs, Girdles, Vests, Boxers & Pants" had been "identified and removed from the Stoma Supplies listing"?

Response - I refer to your freedom of information request that we received on 3 May 2022. I can advise you that we have now completed the search of our records and can provide you with the following information:

I can advise you that we have now completed the search of our records and can provide you with the following information:

(1) What date was National Procurement notified by the Scottish Stoma Clinical Nurse Specialist Group (SSCNSG) that they had "identified and removed from the Stoma Supplies listing" Vanilla Blush products categorised as "Briefs, girdles, Vests, Boxers & Pants"?

National Procurement were notified via the publication of the Scottish Stoma Clinical Nurse Specialist Group report titled “Effective Use of Support Garments for Parastomal Hernia” attached as Appendix 1. Specific detail can be found in the following sections of the report:

Page 10 – 4.5 (1) and (2)

Page 12 – 5.7 and 6.0 (1)

Page 13 – 6.0 (4)

(2) What communication method was used by the Scottish Stoma Clinical Nurse Specialist Group (e.g. email, telephone, letter, etc.) to inform National Procurement of the above (1)?

National Procurement were notified via the publication of the Scottish Stoma Clinical Nurse Specialist Group report titled “Effective Use of Support Garments for Parastomal Hernia” attached as Appendix 1.

(3) What was the official position of the Public Service employee representing the Scottish Stoma Clinical Nurse Specialist Group (e.g. the Chair) who contacted National Procurement to inform them that Vanilla Blush products categorised as "Briefs, Girdles, Vests, Boxers & Pants" had been "identified and removed from the Stoma Supplies listing"?

The official position of the chair of the Scottish Stoma Clinical Nurse Specialist Group at the time of this report was Associate Nurse Director/IJB Lead East Ayrshire (Craig Stewart). As per Questions 1 and 2, National Procurement were notified via the publication of the Scottish Stoma Clinical Nurse Specialist Group report titled “Effective Use of Support Garments for Parastomal Hernia” attached as Appendix 1.
