Literature critique summary and presentation of key recommendations to inform HAI quality improvement tools, based around a framework that evaluates these against the health impact contribution and expert opinion/practical application. To facilitate the use of this QIT across different staff groups the key recommendations have been separated into two clinical areas – ward and theatre, and split into three phases - preoperative, perioperative and postoperative.
