Our accreditation and standards

The Clinical Apheresis Units in Edinburgh and Glasgow are accredited by the Joint Accreditation Committee of ISCT and EBMT (JACIE).

There is a common quality management system across all sites. Activity and side effects are recorded through the national SNBTS Therapeutic Apheresis Register database (STAR).

Our units have the same equipment and the local teams follow the same national policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs). There is some variation in the range of services provided at each centre, reflecting the needs of our users.
