Get guidance on Employment Tribunal claims

Published on 12 April 2021

Tribunal claims can be brought by current and former staff members, as well as job applicants.

There are many types of claims that can be raised, ranging from claims for unpaid wages to unfair dismissal and discrimination.

You’ll need expert help

All tribunal cases are time-consuming and can be costly. And ideally, they can be avoided by following board policies and good staff management. But if a claim is brought, you'll need expert help to ensure the best possible outcome.

We can help boards at every stage of the process. This can be from the point a claimant contacts the Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service (Acas) for early conciliation, through to the final judgement.

How can we help with employment tribunal claims?

Our employment solicitors can:

  • advise on how to minimise the risk of a claim being raised
  • help you prepare for tribunal
  • advise on any tribunal risk and settlement negotiation
  • help conduct the tribunal
