About subject matter expertise

The provision and co-ordination of subject matter expertise (SME) service will give health boards access to high quality expertise, experience and knowledge to assist with their projects. This support will help deliver building projects and manage risk through the built environment lifecycle.
How will it work?
This service will work with the Workforce Planning and Development Service to identify and improve gaps in SME capacity and capability across the healthcare built environment in Scotland.
The design and development of the Provision and Coordination of SME Service will progress through 2021/22 ahead of launch in 2022/23.
