Request a product from the distribution centre

The National Distribution Centre (NDC) supplies goods to NHSScotland. All products held at the NDC are driven by demand from health boards.

To request a product from the NDC, you need to follow our step-by-step process:

  1. If necessary, consult with your Procurement and Supplies Department,

  2. Review the NDC Product Catalogue, which is on the Professional Electronic Commerce Online System (PECOS). You will need login details to use PECOS.

  3. Identify if the product you require is listed in the catalogue.

  • if the product is listed in the catalogue go to steps 4 and 6
  • if the product is not listed in the catalogue go to step 5 and 6
  1. Complete a catalogue change request form, detailing:
  • NDC product code (stock keeping unit, sku)
  • product description
  • supplier product code
  • supplier name
  • unit of purchase
  • unit of purchase price
  • unit of issue
  • unit of issue price including VAT, which is detailed in the PECOS catalogue
  • estimated total weekly usage for your health board, together with any additional comments
  1. If a product is not listed in PECOS, please complete a catalogue change request form with the following information included:
  • product description
  • supplier name
  • supplier product code
  • unit of purchase
  • unit of purchase price
  • preferred unit of issue
  • unit of issue price including VAT
  • estimated weekly usage together with any additional comments
  1. Email your completed form to nss.npcustservs@nhs.scot

  2. On receipt, the form will be processed. Weekly progress updates are available via the health board reports.
