Digital Content Team

The Digital Content Team exists to ensure that online content across National Services Scotland (NSS) is clear, accessible, and aligned with our brand and user needs. We support colleagues across NSD, National Procurement, and NHSScotland Assure, and provide support to other NSS service areas under the business resilience remit. We ensure that all in-scope digital content complies with best practices and meets compliance standards.

Our goal is to deliver a consistent, user-focused digital content experience across the NSS digital platforms, ensuring that every piece of content is accurate, actionable, accessible, and aligns with the NSS web services strategy. We also design and deliver SharePoint sites tailored to business objectives, enabling efficient collaboration and communication.

Website Content Management

• New Content Creation: Collaborating with service areas to design and publish content that meets NSS brand guidelines, accessibility standards, and user needs.
• Content Updates: Managing changes to existing pages, including text edits and structural updates. Adding or amending detailed service pages to reflect evolving business needs.
• Hosting documents in the NSS Publications repository.
• Processing requests to remove outdated documents from the website.

Analytics

• Providing Google Analytics dashboards for service areas to monitor user engagement and traffic.

SharePoint Development

• Designing, building, and deploying Team sites for collaboration and Communication sites for wider information sharing.

Warehouse Screens management

• Designing, formatting, and publishing content on the NHS National Distribution Services warehouse screens
• Ensuring that all content on the screens is accessible and compliant with the NSS brand and style guidelines.
