On the 8th January 2020 (at 08:48) an email was sent from an NHS Ayrshire and Arran email address - in response to the Vanilla Blush "Subject: RE: Application 1: amended Size 26cm Hernia Support Belt" email application - saying:

"Hi (REDACTED) and happy new year Sorry (REDACTED) do you mean our group or the SG I asked about the removal of the other garments from drug listing too they stated it would be in Dec it's now Feb 2020. Have you seen the garment?

(2) What was the form of communication received by National Procurement (e.g. email, telephone, letter, etc.), as referenced above, when contacted by the "Stoma Care Specialist" from Crosshouse Hospital to ask "about the removal of the other garments from drug listing"?

(3) In the event the above referenced (1) and (2) communication received by National Procurement was communicated by word (e.g. via telephone, face-to-face, Zoom, etc.) please email me either: i) the "Notes" of the informal discussion; or ii) the "Minutes" of the formal discussion.

I refer to your freedom of information request that we received on 13 May 2022.

I can advise you that we have now completed the search of our records and can provide you with the following information:

(1) Please email me the date, as referenced above, that National Procurement was contacted by the "Stoma Care Specialist" from Crosshouse Hospital to ask "about the removal of the other garments from drug listing"?

Having searched our records, we have the attached email exchange (appendix 1) which shows that the Lead Nurse Stoma Care Stoma Service at the Western General Hospital contacted National Procurement on 10th January 2020. This was in response to an email that originated from Crosshouse addressed to the Lead Nurse Stoma Care at Western General Hospital.

In line with exemption (Section 38 (1)(b)) of FOISA, personal data of names of individuals have been redacted within the documentation. However, where names of individuals are already in the public domain this exception has not been applied. This includes your own details, which are included on the email exchange. These will be redacted before the FOI response is made available to the public.

(2) What was the form of communication received by National Procurement (e.g. email, telephone, letter, etc.), as referenced above, when contacted by the "Stoma Care Specialist" from Crosshouse Hospital to ask "about the removal of the other garments from drug listing"?

As per our response to question 1. I have attached Appendix 1, which shows that the Lead Nurse Stoma Care Stoma Service at the Western General Hospital contacted National Procurement via email on 10th January 2020. In line with exception (Section 38 (1)(b)) of FOISA personal data of third parties and names of individuals have been redacted within the documentation. However, where names of individuals are already in the public domain this exception has not been applied.

Under Section 17 of the Freedom of Information Scotland Act an organisation does not require to provide information if it does not hold that information. NHS National Services Scotland does not hold this information.
