Request

Please can I have a copy of all Key Stage Assurance Reviews (KSAR) reports completed by NHS Scotland Assure to date.

Response

I refer to your request of 16th May 2023 under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 for information in relation to the following:

Please can I have a copy of all Key Stage Assurance Reviews (KSAR) reports completed by NHS Scotland Assure to date.

I am writing to advise you that following a search of our paper and electronic records, I have established that NHS National Services Scotland (NSS) does hold the information that you have requested.

Please find attached the following KSAR reports:

Under Section 38(1)(b) of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 “Third Party Data” NSS has redacted the names of non-senior members of staff from all the above listed KSAR reports, as this group of staff have no expectation that their names would be released into the public domain.

NHS Fife have advised that “These reports were produced at a point in time and all issues noted have since been worked through and discharged collaboratively between NHS Assure and NHS Fife.”

NHS Lanarkshire have also advised that from a meeting that took place on Monday 26 JUL 2022 NHS Scotland Assure stated that “I can confirm that there is no requirement for NHS Scotland Assure to undertake a construction KSAR for the Ward 16 project.  With respect to the output of the FBC KSAR review, whilst this was originally allocated an unsupported status, NHS Scotland Assure can confirm that following review of the additional evidence provided by NHS Lanarkshire, we are now content that the project can be supported to progress to the Construction phase.”

Please accept our apologies for the length of time we have taken to respond to this request.

I trust you will find the information of assistance and if you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.

If you are unhappy with any aspect of how we have dealt with your request, you can make representations to us asking us to review the handling of your request.

If you require any further information, please contact Head of Information and Cyber Security, Digital and Security within 40 working days of the date of this correspondence.
