Request

Please confirm how many buildings have gone through the on-site survey stage phase of the Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete Survey Programme

Of the buildings which have completed the on-site survey stage phase, please confirm what RAG rating has been applied to the RAAC found in each and what remedial/monitoring recommendations have been given.

Response

I can advise we have now completed a search of our records and can provide you with the following information:

Please confirm how many buildings have gone through the on-site survey stage phaseof the Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete Survey Programme

NHS National Services Scotland (NSS) completed a Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (RAAC) assessment in 2020. Whilst no presence of RAAC was identified, NHS NSS will be included in the national survey underway by NHS Scotland Assure, ensuring that our buildings will be surveyed against the exact same criteria of the full NHS Scotland estate. These structural surveys by NHS Scotland Assure’s appointed surveyor have not yet taken place in our buildings but are scheduled to over the coming months.

Of the buildings which have completed the on-site survey stage phase, please confirm what RAG rating has been applied to the RAAC found in each and what remedial/monitoring recommendations have been given.

Under Section 17 of the Freedom of Information Scotland Act, 2002, an organisation does not have to provide that information if they do not hold that information. NSS cannot provide you with the RAG rating as above as RAAC was not present in any of the buildings surveyed todate.

I trust you will find the information of assistance and if you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.

If you are unhappy with any aspect of how we have dealt with your request, you can make representations to us asking us to review the handling of your request.

If you require any further information, please contact Head of Information and Cyber Security, Digital and Security within 40 working days of the date of this correspondence.
