Could you Please provide the below data under the FOI.

  1. Methylphenidate XL - brands approved to use in UK ( to treat ADHD)

  2. The most frequent dispensed, out of the above, Pharmaceutical for ADHD in Scotland/ Aberdeen/ Aberdeenshire region

  3. Prices ranges for the above - per concentration ( 18, 36, 54) .

I can advise you that we have now completed the search of our records and can provide you with the following information:

1. Methylphenidate XL - brands approved to use in UK (to treat ADHD)

The available brands in the UK are listed in the British National Formulary (BNF): https://bnf.nice.org.uk/drugs/methylphenidate-hydrochloride/

2. The most frequent dispensed, out of the above, Pharmaceutical for ADHD in Scotland/ Aberdeen/ Aberdeenshire region

Under section 17 of the Freedom of information Act, 2002 (FOISA) an organisation does not have to provide that information if it does not hold that information. NHS National Services Scotland (NSS) does not hold this information as it would be held at individual Health Board level.
