The link: https://www.nipcm.hps.scot.nhs.uk/resources/development-process/ concerning the exercise to consider changes to the methodology that are "currently being piloted with the IPC Working Groups to increase transparency and improve rigour of development of the NIPCM." states "it is anticipated that this process will be completed by March 2024".

As an FOI, I would like to receive information on the conclusions of this process including minutes of meetings where they were discussed and/ or approved or, if not yet available, to be informed when they will be available and to be sent these as soon as they are available.

Response – I refer to your freedom of information request that we received on 08 April 2024 requesting the following information.

We have now completed the search of our records and can provide you with the following information:

The conclusion of the process is outlined in the draft methodology published in the NIPCM at the following link: National Infection Prevention and Control Manual: Methodology (scot.nhs.uk). This was presented at the Infection Prevention and Control Oversight and Advisory Group on 01 December 2022. A pilot has commenced of the draft methodology and remains ongoing.

Action note 58 on the attached Appendix 1 - 2022-12-01 FINAL Discussion Action Note IPC OAG v1.0_Redacted refers to NIPCM.
