Response

  1. The pallets used at the NDS Coddington site in Eurocentral are not purchased or leased by National Services Scotland (NSS). Instead, they are leased by the inbound suppliers themselves, who select their preferred pooled pallet provider, based on their own operational needs. The pooled providers operate a closed-loop system, meaning once we have used them, they manage the collection and reuse the pallets after delivery. Our role is purely as the recipient of the goods; we are not responsible for leasing or managing the pallet contracts.

In addition, we do utilise some standard white pallets, received from inbound suppliers, European, to deliver goods to Health Boards.

  1. CHEP UK Limited, LPR – La Palette Rouge (GB) Limited, and IPP (International Pallet Pool Limited) maintain their own pallets under their service agreements. Standard white pallets are managed by Scot Pallet (Bathgate), who handle collection, reuse, and recycling.

I trust you will find the information of assistance and if you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.
