Can you please advise how many Transgender women have been admitted to female wards throughout Scotland?

We have now completed the search of our records and can provide you with the following information:

Under Section 17 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (FOISA), an organisation is not required to provide information it does not hold. NHS National Services Scotland (NSS) does not hold any data on the number of transgender women admitted to female wards across Scotland, as this detail is not recorded by NSS. Such information is likely to be held by individual territorial Health Boards (HBs) for their own ward admissions. You may wish to contact the relevant HBs directly using the details below:
