Details

This Guide provides explanatory material for users of the mental Health Built Environment (mHBE) App and its framework. This directly links to the Mental health - Adult acute units (HBN 03-01), as the means of evidencing adherence to this Health Building Note (HBN). It also demonstrates NHS board delivery on current Scottish Government policy, such as NHSScotland Delivery Planning Guidance and Core Mental Health Quality Standards.

NHS boards are expected to progress local use of the mHBE App, within the NHSScotland Strategic Asset Management System (SAMS), for all adult acute mental health wards. This should be on at least an annual basis, plus pre and post key investments, in order to evidence continuous improvement to deliver the standards above.

The mHBE App has been made available to all NHS boards on a licenced basis, and issued via NHSScotland Assure.
