Evaluation frameworks

The NHS Scotland Assure Evaluation frameworks service provides two evaluation frameworks that are undertaken during a healthcare built environment project lifecycle. They share similar objectives which support knowledge transfer across the system to improve the quality of outcomes across the healthcare built environment (HBE).
What is a Lifecyle evaluation?
The building lifecycle evaluation process will support Health Boards to capture lessons learned, recommendations, and areas of continuous improvement for HBE projects through workshops, data collection tools and templates. This will enable real-time learning and inform improvements for Health Boards.
What is Thematic analysis?
We will analyse completed Key Stage Assurance Reviews (KSARs), ensuring any lessons learnt and recommendations gathered from the analysis are shared to support service improvement.
