Access Sexual Health Service Support

Emergency Hormonal Contraceptive (EHC)
Supporting a sexual health service comprising of the supply of emergency hormonal contraception.
Claiming for payment
Further to circular PCA (P)(2019) 21 from 1st October 2019, the claim form used under the Public Health Service for monthly capitation payments related to the Emergency Hormonal Contraception (EHC) service has been removed and claims will only be accepted through the Universal Claim Framework (UCF). Contractors will be paid £30 per treatment.
Service specification
The service is provided and funded as a national NHS service by NHS Scotland through the Public Health Service element of the community pharmacy contract and complies with policies and standards set by the NHS for the provision of such services.
Bridging Contraception (BC)
Supporting a sexual health service comprising of consultation, referral to GP practice or the supply of bridging contraception.
Claiming for payment
Claims will only be accepted through the Universal Claim Framework (UCF). Contractors will be paid £30 per consultation for bridging contraception.
Service specification
The service is provided and funded as a national NHS service by NHS Scotland through the Public Health Service element of the community pharmacy contract and complies with policies and standards set by the NHS for the provision of such services.

Emergency Hormonal Contraception and Bridging Contraception (EBC)
Supporting a sexual health service comprising of supply of emergency hormonal contraception with consultation, referral to GP practice or the supply of bridging contraception.
Claiming for payment
Claims will only be accepted through the Universal Claim Framework (UCF). Contractors will be paid £60 for simultaneously supplying EHC and undertaking a consultation for bridging consultation.
