Includes, patients:

who’ve a confirmed diagnosis of Coeliac disease or Dermatitis Herpetiformis who are in Scotland who’ve registered with a General Practitioner (GP) practice.

Not eligible

Includes, patients:

who live in a care home.

Providing the service

The GP or dietitian referral form must be presented by the patient to the pharmacy, which confirms their eligibility for the service.

The patient and pharmacist should then sign the form and a Pharmacy Care Record (PCR) created.

The referral form should be retained by the pharmacy for payment verification purposes.

National Education Scotland (NES) Gluten Free Food Service Support Pack NES Pharmacy have produced a support pack to help pharmacy teams with the delivery of the Gluten Free Food service.
