I am writing to submit a Freedom of Information (FOI) request regarding information related to the organisation’s gas and electricity contracts, as well as details on the energy management system.

Energy Management System Contract(s) - Contract(s) relating to the organisation’s energy management system. An energy management system (EMS) is a system of computer-aided tools used by operators of electric utility grids to monitor, control, and optimise the performance of the generation or transmission system.

I refer to your freedom of information request that we received on 08 February 2024.

We have now completed the search of our records and can provide you with the following information:

Gas and Electricity Contracts:

1. Energy Provider

The energy providers are, Total Energies for gas and EDF Energy for electricity.

2. Annual Spend for each provider for the past 3 financial years.

Please find attached Appendix 1 – Annual Spend, for the yearly spend for each provider for energy for the last 3 years. Please note the following:

Where any information is not held, we have marked as N/A. NHS Louisa Jordan closed at the end of July 2022, this is in relation to Scottish Event Campus (SEC).

In answer to the above questions 3-7, under section 25 of the Freedom of Information Scotland

Act 2002 (FOISA), NHS National Services Scotland (NSS) are exempt from supplying the requested information, as this information is already available in the public domain.

The energy contracts for both gas and electricity are managed by the Scottish Government under Category A Frameworks. Please see the links below:

• Electricity Framework agreement: 1 April 2019 to 31 March 2024
• Natural Gas Framework agreement: 1 April 2019 to 31 March 2025

8. Total Consumption of Gas, please provide me with the latest figure in cubic metres.

Our latest figure for total gas consumption in 2022/23 was 909943.13 M3.

9. Total Consumption of Electricity (NHH), please provide me with latest figure in kWh for the past 3 financial years.

Under section 25 of the Freedom of Information Scotland Act 2002 (FOISA), NHS National Services Scotland (NSS) are exempt from supplying the requested information, as this information is already available in the public domain. b. Half Hourly (HH) meter points

The total number of HH meter points within NSS is 8.

9. Total number of Gas meter points

The total number of gas meter points within NSS is 9.

10. Total number of meter points for specialist gases and liquids

The total number of meter points for specialist gases and liquids within NSS is 0.
