Under FOI, can you please send me copies of all correspondence held by NHS National Services Scotland with the Royal College of General Practitioners Scotland regarding the proposed update to the gender reassignment protocol?

Please also provide any records of meetings, such as minutes, between the RCGP and any representative of NHSNSS, where the updated protocol or proposals over the protocol were discussed.

Please send me all records and correspondence about this since July 8, 2021.

I refer to your freedom of information request that we received on 21 February 2024 requesting the following information.

Under FOI, can you please send me copies of all correspondence held by NHS National Services Scotland with the Royal College of General Practitioners Scotland regarding the proposed update to the gender reassignment protocol?

Please also provide any records of meetings, such as minutes, between the RCGP and any representative of NHSNSS, where the updated protocol or proposals over the protocol were discussed.

We have now completed the search of our records and can provide you with the following information:

Please find attached Appendix 1 - The Primary Care Subgroup Action Tracker_Redacted and Appendix 2 – Primary Care Output Report, detailing the actions and outputs of a working group established by NHS National Services Scotland (NSS) to inform the review of the gender reassignment protocol, which included representation from the Royal College of General Practitioners.

Some of the documentation being released includes personal data of third parties, specifically, names of individuals which have not been released into the public domain on any previous FOIs or literature regarding this topic. Where this is the case, these names and contact details have been redacted in line with exception Section 38 ((1) (b)) of the Freedom of Information Scotland Act – Personal information.
