Details
This Scottish Health Technical Note (SHTN) provides structural engineering information to NHS boards about Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (RAAC), how to live with it, and when to seek advice from professionals.
The purpose of this Guidance is to provide a rational, evidence-led basis with which to respond to RAAC user concerns, concurrent with its safe monitoring and management. It has been structured with some background information about RAAC, its properties and behaviour, before describing the risk factors that result from those properties and behaviour. Finally, it presents methodologies for assessing and managing risk.
