Successful applicants will be invited to submit a full Proposal for consideration and an NSD Lead will be assigned to support. This includes:
Proposal for a Specialist Service:
Detailed submission – including evidencing clinical effectiveness, patient pathway of care, performance & quality monitoring measures, costs currently being incurred and estimated overall cost of proposed service.
Finance, workforce and delivery plans – a full workforce and financial business case, and plans on how a resilient, sustainable and equitable service will be delivered.
Proposal for a National Network:
Full submission – evidencing plan for organisational effectiveness. This will include high-level work plan delivery model and objectives, based on six core objectives, interdependencies, costs and evidence of support.
During this time the NSSC may request additional information, reject the application or progress it towards national designation. Alternatively they may recommend that the request is progressed as an NSD Project (for example: Long Covid).
