Registration

The journey from idea to a nationally designated service can be tricky to navigate. Work has been done to improve and speed up the process of application and as such we have updated our guidance to help improve the experience.

Registration is the first step in exploring whether support from National Services Division (NSD) for national developments is a possibility. If your proposal is in relation to an existing nationally commissioned service or network, please speak to the relevant NSD commissioning team.

The information you provide will be used by NSD to plan more effectively for the future health needs of the people of Scotland and prioritise resources.

You can find an example of the type of information required here. It is strongly recommended that you download the Guidance document to prepare your responses before you begin the online form. You will also find guidance on the online Registration form by clicking on the ‘question mark’ icon.

When you have completed all the questions on the Registration webform please submit. Upon receipt of your submission, you will receive a unique reference number which you must keep safe as you will need this to access the application webform.

Your registration will be triaged by NSD and you will be advised of the outcome within 28 working days.

To begin your Registration you may need to create an account. First click on the 'Start Now' button below. Then -

  • If you are external to NHSScotland - select 'register' and create an account.
  • If you are an NHSScotland user - select 'external log in' and put in your userID.

This service is provided on the Registration for National Development Support.
